Hyundai Announces the Arrival of Second New Pickup Model
Hyundai made quite a big announcement prior to this year’s Chicago Auto Show in regard to the automaker’s pickup truck segment. The brand told journalists that they have plans on unveiling a new pickup truck model (and one that they promised would not be simply an updated version of their concept Santa Cruz model) by next month. This is, obviously, huge news for fans of Hyundai’s future pickup truck offerings, both of the Santa Cruz variety and otherwise.
So… What Should We Expect?
As gossip tends to do, word got out that Hyundai was thinking about offering a new pickup truck for the upcoming year, and people naturally assumed Hyundai would offer up an updated version of the Santa Cruz concept. However, the company went the opposite direction, announcing a brand new pickup truck for the upcoming year.
Production of the Hyundai Santa Cruz has been Confirmed
We are now guaranteed, at this point, to be getting a new Santa Cruz model as well as the aforementioned new model in the future. A new Santa Cruz model was, obviously, missing at the Chicago Auto Show, but its production has still been confirmed by Hyundai’s Vice President of Corporate and Product Planning.
In any event, many questions still remain as to just what exactly this new Hyundai pickup truck entails, and it seems like we will just have to wait and see what the automaker has in store for us.
