Hyundai Tucson Offers Consumers Green Transportation with Zero-Emission Miles
Vehicle Emissions have long been considered a top source of environmental pollution and Hyundai has been diligently working to help consumers reduce those emissions with the help of their first produced fuel cell vehicle, the Hyundai Tucson.
The Hyundai Tucson has earned a following already after being delivered to 70 Southern California residents who since then have racked up almost half a million miles on the road. Instead of contributing pollution to the California air, Tucson drivers have driven all of these miles emitting only environmentally clean water vapor instead. The Tucson offers high versatility, quiet EV operation, zero greenhouse-gas emissions, refueling speed similar to gasoline, and an estimated 265 miles of driving range all the while rating favorably to similar gasoline-powered vehicles.
“Over the past year, Hyundai’s Tucson Fuel Cell owners are showing the world today that this technology represents the next generation of zero-emissions transportation,” said vice president of corporate and product planning for Hyundai Motor America Mike O’Brien adding “Building momentum for fuel cell vehicles and their real-world applications, these consumers are sharing their experiences of how the Tucson fits seamlessly into their daily lives.”
With being the first producer of a fuel cell vehicle that is mass produced, Hyundai has helped drivers usher in a new era of sustainability. Now they are letting Tucson drivers share their stories on the Tucson Fuel Cell website. From long distance work commutes to quick trips to the grocery store, consumers are still getting from place to place, but now there is a sense of purpose to it, a shared goal. Now in addition to their day to day activities, drivers are also actively participating in reducing the harmful emissions that are continually contributing to polluting the earth’s atmosphere.
