Hyundai launches Recognized Collision Repair Center Program to give Customers Peace of Mind
In a move that proves Hyundai’s dedicated commitment to customer service and safety, the automaker launched its all-new Hyundai Recognized Collision Repair Center Program earlier this month. The program will apply to both independent and Hyundai dealership-owned repair centers and will ensure all collision repair centers have the training, tools, equipment, and facilities needed to properly repair Hyundai vehicles after they’ve been involved in an accident.
“We want our customers to know we have their well-being in mind after they have been in a collision,” said Frank Ferrara, Executive Vice President of customer satisfaction for Hyundai Motor America. “Hyundai owners benefit from this program through the assurance that centers will ensure the fit, finish, durability, safety and value of the vehicles being repaired. Having a network of recognized shops is critical to make sure our cars are repaired properly,” he continued.
Everyone has heard of (or unfortunately experienced) a collision repair horror story, whether they ended up financially shafted or the vehicle was returned not quite “good-as-new”. Faulty repairs can become extremely costly in the long run for unsuspecting customers who place their trust into companies that are not properly licensed. Those sub-par repairs are often done without the customer’s knowledge, leaving car owners to deal with potentially serious problems years later. If those issues aren’t quickly ameliorated, they can end up taking years off of the life of a vehicle.
The new Hyundai Recognized Collision Repair Center Program will hopefully add an extra layer of security in the minds of Hyundai customers. Hyundai-owners looking for peace-of-mind need only look around and find the official “Hyundai Collision Repair Center” plaque at a repair center to know that the necessary training, tools, and equipment have been certified by the automotive manufacturer and deemed safe to use.
Hyundai has partnered with the Assured Performance Network, a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization, to ensure the new program is efficient and effective for both repair centers and Hyundai customers. The Assured Performance Network will perform on-site audits to Hyundai-certified repair centers to make sure the required standards are met and will also manage enrollment, online support systems, proof of compliance documentation and marketing for the program. The nonprofit also operates as a third-party administrator for body shop certification for other top automakers like Ford, Chrysler, GM, and more.
