2019 Hyundai Veloster Unmasked in New Spy Photos
On a budget but still looking to purchase the best bang-for-your-buck vehicle on the market? The 2019 Hyundai Veloster is the can-do car you’ve been looking for.
The new Veloster is compact (but still roomy), fun to drive (but not too over the top), and its performance capabilities are unmatched in its segment. Best of all–the new 2019 Hyundai Veloster can soon be yours at any Hyundai dealership near Carpentersville, IL for as low as $18,000. The new models are scheduled to arrive at dealerships in just a few months.
The vehicle will be formally revealed at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 14, 2018 but spy photos of the forthcoming Veloster have already flooded the internet. Combined with Hyundai’s official teaser photos, the spy photographs give us an excellent idea of what potential drivers can expect out of the new Veloster.
Fans of the 2018 model will be pleased to hear that the 2019 Veloster will feature the same unique shape, including the signature three-doors-and-hatch configuration. (For those who may not be aware: The Veloster has a single door on the driver side and two doors on the passenger side. It’s a design quirk that helps the Veloster immediately stand out from the pack.)
The new car’s front end is dominated by a low, wide grille. The rear fascia, however, shows off a gorgeous center-mounted exhaust with dual exit pipes. The new Veloster’s flared fender vents give it a touch of athletic style that fits perfectly with the vehicle’s sporty personality.
But one of our favorite aspects of the new Veloster is that it comes in more varieties than ever before. The vehicle will be available as a standard model and as the more intense Veloster N. The Veloster N, which was developed by Hyundai’s in-house tuner, features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine capable of creating 271 horsepower.
The standard model, on the other hand, features a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine which will get you roughly 200 hp. Veloster fans will already be familiar with this engine since it’s the one currently housed under the hood of the 2018 Veloster Turbo.
For now, Hyundai is closely guarding any details about the 2019 Veloster’s interior. However, spy photos reveal that the vehicle’s interior is focused heavily on the driver, with an asymmetrical center console which favors the person behind the wheel. A large touch screen pops out of the dashboard to give drivers and passengers easy access to entertainment systems and turn-by-turn navigation.
