A Hyundai Ready for Summer
Are you ready for summer? I think most of us are, but when those temperatures dip down it can be hard to remember that summer is coming. However, we don’t want you to worry. Hyundai has come up with something that will help you get excited for summer all over again.
Hyundai has come up with an all-new electric dune buggy that converts into a jet ski. Did we mention this is an all-electric vehicle?
In a press release, Hyundai describes the Kite, “The Hyundai Kite is a doorless, roofless and windowless vehicle that can drive both on streets and over water. It consists of a monocoque chassis with a length of 3,745 mm and a height of 1,455 mm. Its surfaces interlace, creating a continuum of twists and intersections. The designers aimed to reduce barriers between the exterior and interior to create a functional and fun car. The lines convey an idea of floating and freedom, connecting to the idea of spending leisure time near the water.”
It seems Hyundai is trying to get its buyers to truly embrace summer with their new concept car the Hyundai Kite.
The Manual describes the vehicle in a little more detail, “As a dune buggy, it boasts two seats and massive street-ready wheels. When you’re prepared to go off-road and on-water, the Hyundai Kite converts into a single-seat jet ski powered by water jet propulsion. The vehicle intentionally has no roof, windows, and doors.”
That means you can truly embrace the summer and the sunshine in the new Hyundai Kite. This vehicle was shown off during the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. It is a project being taken on by Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) and Hyundai’s Design Centre in Europe.
The only downside is this vehicle isn’t available yet. As a concept car, it is something that is still in the works, but it is definitely something to keep your eyes peeled for; this is one unique vehicle, so we think you will recognize it when you see it!
