2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Review: Practicality Over Performance
Hyundai’s Santa Fe has been around since we can remember, but did you know that 2019 is the year for updates? This new year brings us an upgraded Hyundai Santa Fe. Not only does the 2019 Santa Fe come with a great engine, but it also has sought-after styling and safety features.
The FWD SE trim starts at $26,545. This trim, as well as most trims, come standard with a 2.4L four-cylinder engine that produces 185 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe has a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine available for sale. This engine produces 235 horsepower.
The 2019 Santa Fe closely resembles the basic design of SUVs. Due to this welcomed shift in appearance, this midsize two-row vehicle gives drivers great visibility in all directions. To increase visibility forward, the automaker has opted for thin roof pillars and side mirrors. In addition to greater visibility forward, Hyundai has also made some changes to the 2019 Santa Fe to increase rear visibility. For instance, the belt line is flattened so drivers have enhanced over-shoulder views.
Moving on to the interior, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe comes standard with a seven-inch touchscreen entertainment and information system. This system is located on the dashboard above the center vents. It includes Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth audio, Android Auto, Infinity premium stereo, satellite radio, wireless charging port, as well as smartphone connectivity.
The 2019 Santa Fe comes equipped with some of the top automotive safety features. Some of these features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, blind spot warning, lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alert, and a driver-drowsiness monitor.
