What’s New for the 2021 Hyundai Models?
The 2021 Hyundai models have been recently released, and the South Korean manufacturer has introduced some exciting new changes to the Hyundai lineup. While some vehicles will be carried over from 2020 like the 2021 Hyundai Kona EV, others will undergo a complete overhaul. From all-new 2021 Hyundai SUVs to hybrid models, Hyundai is offering customers plenty of excellent choices to start their new year off right with a brand-new vehicle. Here are some of the most interesting changes for Hyundai 2021:
New Complimentary Service
Now, Hyundai will provide three years (36 months) of complimentary maintenance with the purchase or lease of a new Hyundai vehicle. The program includes oil and filter changes, as well as tire rotation at normal factory-scheduled intervals. It is available for three years or until the vehicle reaches 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
All-New 2021 Hyundai Elantra
One of the most exciting Hyundai 2021 models is the all-new 2021 Elantra. While the gas-powered Elantra is all-new in 2021, Hyundai released an all-new Hybrid Elantra as well.
Highlights of the standard new Hyundai Elantra 2021 include an all-new seventh-generation Elantra compact sedan with a new vehicle platform with a longer wheelbase, wider stance, and a lower roofline. It is also only the second Hyundai vehicle to be equipped with the Sensuous Sportiness design identity, which gives the everyday exotic four-door-coupe innovative molding and engineering technology. It also comes standard with SmartSense safety and convenience technologies, and it offers Hyundai’s optional Digital Key to unlock, start, and drive the vehicle without a physical key via a smartphone or Near Field Communication (NFC) card.
All-New 2021 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid
Meanwhile, the all-new 2021 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid maintains similar content as the gas power version but adds an impressive Hybrid powertrain with over 50 mpg in fuel economy, a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, and multi-link rear suspension. The 1.6-liter Gas Direct Injection (GDI) engine along with the Hybrid’s electric motor produces a total system output of 139 horsepower and up to 195 lb.-ft. of torque.
2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line
New to the Hyundai lineup, the 2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line combines sporty design elements with refined powertrain upgrades to a mid-level trim Elantra with a turbocharged engine and an independent rear suspension. On the interior, the N Line features a unique leather-wrapped perforated N steering wheel, N Line sports seats with leather bolsters, red switching and trim accents that differentiate it from the standard Elantra, a Qi wireless charging pad, a smartphone and digital key (NFC), among other things. While the interior adds premium features to the Elantra, the exterior really takes it to another level with a sunroof, projector headlights and full LED taillights, N Line version of the Cascading Grille with distinctive red character line, N Line badging, and N Line 18-inch wheels.
New Hyundai SUVs 2021
While the Elantra series receives the most upgrades for 2021, Hyundai SUVs for 2021 will receive some new changes as well. The 2021 Kona will add a Night Edition, which includes a 1.6-liter turbo engine with seven-speed DCT, 18-inch RAYS Semi-gloss black alloy wheels, black cloth seating, LED headlights and taillights, a black headliner, aluminum alloy sports pedals, and gloss black exterior and interior accents. Additionally, the Hyundai Santa Fe will receive a produce enhancement, the details of which are yet to be announced.
