A Glimpse of the All-New KONA N
Last month, Hyundai Motor finally revealed a glimpse of the all-new KONA N without its camouflage disguise. Hyundai Motor sent out a series of teaser images. This allowed fans and auto enthusiasts to enjoy a sneak peek at the newest member of Hyundai’s high-performance N range. KONA N’s will be available at Hyundai dealerships for the next model year.
New Information about the KONA N
As the latest addition to the Hyundai N brand line-up, the all-new KONA N will be the first N model with an SUV body type. The newly-released images reveal that the ‘hot SUV’ features a sporty appearance that’s emphasized by its wide, low stance.
Partnering for the very first time, the Hyundai N division and the Hyundai Design Center worked together to develop an SUV body type for the N line. Their goal was to create a product that clearly represents a powerful presence and driving fun. it combines the modern design of the recently launched new KONA, with the bold and dynamic language of Hyundai’s N models. The all-new KONA N represents a brand-new exclusive experience for customers.
KONA N Design Details
The all-new SUV features large, sporty, and iconic air intakes, along with a new light signature. This gives Hyundai’s latest high-performance model an aggressive, powerful appearance. Down the front of the KONA N, the lower grille defines the character of the bumper fascia. The shape of the bumper fascia was inspired by an aeronautic fuselage. It extends to the side of the car, emphasizing its aerodynamic efficiency and speed. Completing the look, an N logo adorns the unique upper grille.
The back of the KONA N features a large double-wing roof spoiler for enhanced downforce that gives spice to the rear view. As is customary with N models, it also features a third, triangular brake light. Further down the vehicle, large N dual exhaust mufflers fully express the model’s high-performance spirit. At the bottom of the rear bumper, a large diffuser enhances the airflow departure. Further emphasizing the KONA N’s sporty appearance, body-colored fenders bring the vehicle visually closer to the ground.
What to Look Forward to Learning
There’s still much to learn about the exciting new Hyundai KONA N, including the precise details of the Hyundai N line interior. While Hyundai hasn’t announced it yet, it’s likely the KONA N will feature a 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 gas engine with an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. It’s still not clear what the Hyundai KONA N price will be, but it will likely keep in line with the affordable prices Hyundai offers.
