After the company\u2019s pouring of much blood, sweat, and tears into the focused development an entirely new offshoot brand, we\u2019re proud to help spread the recent news that Hyundai\u2019s new global luxury brand, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosenhyundai.com\/new-inventory\/index.htm?model=Genesis&amp;&amp;&amp;&amp;\" target=\"_blank\">Genesis<\/a>, is finally hitting the road, and most definitely doing it in style.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Intended to compete both technically and aesthetically with the world\u2019s most respected luxury brands, Hyundai states that it intends to put every detail to scrutiny in pushing Genesis to measure up to the best. With worldwide markets opening steadily for Hyundai in recent years, it also seems apparent that they\u2019ve got the resources available to take some bold steps in trying something new. Making things feel truly official, Hyundai has released some of the first defining details of the new Genesis mark, namely an elegant, wing-shaped emblem, which it clearly hopes will soon become as familiar a sign of automotive elegance as any. Standing as a symbol of some excitingly fresh and eager new efforts at the outset of this ambitious project, we can only anticipate that there\u2019s a lot left to come to give the mark a deeper sense of identity, and for the time being, it\u2019s only certain that the sky is the limit!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Based off of the decade-plus of work that\u2019s gone into developing and marketing the original Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan, first released in 2008 and continuing to be met with what Hyundai officials have dubbed \u2018a succesful seven-year occupation in the luxury car market,\u2019 Genesis certainly represents more than a shot in the dark for the South Korean brand. Now, in preparing the Genesis brand for its own standalone venture, Hyundai says that it will officially begin a planned five-year roll-out of six Genesis models starting in December. Receiving some deserved excitement as well is the involvement of Luc Donckerwolke, former design director for Bentley, Lamborghini, and Audi, who will be working closely with Hyundai\u2019s chief designer Peter Schreyer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the time being, some minor rebranding efforts will move on Hyundai\u2019s current luxury offerings to corral them into the initial Genesis offerings, as the Hyundai Genesis becomes the Genesis G80, and the Hyundai Equus becomes the Genesis G90. Exact details of the transformation are still unknown, but will be clear in short time. Further plans call for another luxury sedan, a sports coupe, and two SUVs\/crossovers, but we\u2019ll also have to join Hyundai fans in waiting with some admittedly bated breath for the emergence of the details.
