reporting a 4.9% worldwide sales increase for November, with total statistics up by a record-setting 12% in the U.S. and 16.9% in South Korea. \u00a0The bigger story about the company\u2019s year end results, however, may be the reception the upcoming models for the soon to be spun-off Genesis brand are getting, with the forthcoming Genesis G90, in particular, receiving up to 4,300 pre-orders within the first 24 hours of its public offering in South Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exhibiting the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosenhyundai.com\/new-inventory\/index.htm?listingConfigId=auto-new&amp;year=&amp;model=Genesis&amp;bodyStyle=&amp;internetPrice=&amp;start=0&amp;sort=&amp;facetbrowse=true&amp;searchLinkText=SEARCH&amp;showFacetCounts=true&amp;showRadius=false&amp;showSubmit=true&amp;showSelections=true\">new Genesis<\/a> design philosophy of \u2018Athletic Elegance\u2019, which departs from the main Hyundai\u2019s brand\u2019s \u2018Fluidic Sculpture\u2019<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ethos, the Genesis G90 flagship and the six subsequent models that are set to appear in the line by 2020 reflect tighter, more muscular aesthetics that, nevertheless, convey a sense of refined thoughtfulness. \u00a0The G90 itself is marked by a noticeably long, uncluttered hood, a nearly vertical fascia that pinches off into narrow headlamps, side panels that appear to suggest a slightly folded strake along the top, and a low, slowly descending roofline. \u00a0Rather than standing out as separate features, each of these design points consciously blend into each other, creating an overall impression that feels unified rather than a collection of separate traits. \u00a0All in all, the look is quite befitting a premium executive sedan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cGenesis\u2019<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">new large luxury sedan G90 will deliver a concept of \u2018New Luxury\u2019<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to our customers,\u201d noted Woong-Chul Yang, Head of Hyundai Motor R&amp;D Center and Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motor, in regards to the new design approach. \u00a0\u201cThe G90 sits at the pinnacle of the Genesis brand and demonstrates how we apply our human-centered values to give our customer true satisfaction in every aspect of the vehicle ownership experience.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though pre-orders for the Genesis G90 have already been accepted from South Korean customers, they will not be offered in the U.S. until after a physical model appears at the North American International Auto Show in January. \u00a0The standard engine on the North American G90 is expected to be a 311 hp V-6, with a 365 hp V-6 and a 420 hp V-8s as optional powerplants. \u00a0In terms of interior features, the forthcoming Genesis G90 is expected to sport 22-way adjustable driver\u2019s seats and 14-way \u2018VIP\u2019<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">adjustable rear seats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While certainly impressive, the new G90 still accounts for only a fraction of worldwide Hyundai and Genesis sales, as the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe, and Elantra have all seen healthy growth both in North America and Asia. \u00a0In fact, due to the design\u2019s popularity, a version of the Elantra for model year 2017 is actually slated to be revealed this winter. \u00a0An advanced version of the 2016 Tucson that incorporates a hydrogen fuel cell-electric powertrain is also undergoing public trials in Los Angeles. \u00a0As with the upcoming Genesis line, it looks to have a sizable impact on the auto industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though these and other Hyundai and Genesis
