In an industry that is gearing itself more and more toward a green market, to win any award for a vehicle\u2019s outstanding environmental performance is certainly an achievement. But, for an entire company to be recognized for its accomplishments with regard to making the world a livable place for future generations is a much grander accolade in and of itself, and that is just what Hyundai was able to pull out last month. That is to say, Hyundai received the honor of being noted in 2016\u2019s Newsweek Green Rankings, which works to assess the environmental practices and policies of the top 500 publicly traded companies in both the United States and around the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis recognition from Newsweek is a testament to our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosenhyundai.com\/il-hyundai-lease-and-finance-specials.htm\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-387 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.rosenhyundai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RosenHyundai.Display.Sonata.004.jpg\" alt=\"Hyundai deals near me\" width=\"120\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a>globally,\u201d\u00a0said Mike O\u2019Brien, Vice President of Corporate and Product Planning over at Hyundai Motor America. \u201cHyundai will continue to place importance on its eco-friendly Blue Drive lineup in all segments. Part of this initiative is the arrival of the Hyundai Ioniq late this year, marking Hyundai\u2019s very first car offered in three electric versions to debut in the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That Blue Drive lineup that O\u2019Brien is speaking of here is perhaps the most interesting thing any company is doing with regard to attempts to reduce their carbon footprint. That is, Hyundai\u2019s Blue Drive consists of a number of products and technology specifically designed to reduce carbon use and improve fuel efficiency. The strategy here is to produce low-carbon, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosenhyundai.com\/new-inventory\/index.htm?search=fuel+efficient\">fuel-efficient vehicles<\/a> that work to significantly reduce both fuel consumption as well as carbon dioxide emissions, which does the job of both helping preserve the planet for future generations and meeting the day-to-day needs of the average customer.<\/p>\n<p>The Newsweek Green Rankings have been around since 2009 and have since become a very prestigious staple with regard to a company\u2019s environmental image and evaluation. \u201cIn the current global business and political climate, no company can continue to ignore its environmental footprint and there\u2019s good news: Newsweek\u2019s 2016 Green Rankings show the world\u2019s biggest companies are improving when it comes to energy productivity and in limiting greenhouse gas emission,\u201d\u00a0 notes Elijah Wolfson, Senior Editor over at Newsweek. \u201cOur hope is the rankings will propel leaders to start looking at their environmental impact, not just in terms of carbon use, but comprehensively, and make the changes necessary to sustain both business growth and environmental viability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As is always the case, keep checking back in here with us at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosenhyundai.com\/\">Rosen Hyundai<\/a> for more information with regard to all your Hyundai news.
